  • “Went in to pick up new phone for my teenage son as a birthday gift, and despite knowing exactly the phone I wanted, the rep was clearly not interested in making the sale and was abrubt and hurried despite me being the only customer in the store. The entire transaction took less than fifteen minutes since I knew exactly the phone I was purchasing and I informed her very clearly that this upgrade is a gift for my son whose birthday is a week away. I was happy with the purchase and let her lackadaisical customer service roll off and went on my way… However, when I arrived home, my son informed me, very puzzled, that his current phone was suddenly not working /not making outgoing calls or texts. I played it off, not wanting to give away the fact that I had just upgraded his phone but instantly knew what must have erroneously happened. The in store rep who could barely be bothered to help me, had clearly activated his new phone without my authorization! This not only dangerously left him without access to a phone while babysitting his four year old brother as I was out finishing birthday shopping, but potentially ruining his birthday gift. I played it off to him as it perhaps being a tech issue and made a lengthy call to customer service. I spoke to Carol Lee who was very helpful and apologetic about the in store reps lack of attention and huge error and she confirmed my suspicion that the in-store rep had indeed remotely activated the line meaning his current sim was deactivated and the one intended to be a gift was now assigned to his line. ?? However, she was confident she could start an “USH” ticket to reactivate his current phone but that it would take “an hour or two” with the phone off. (This process could perhaps render the new SIM card, still in the unopened box, useless but I won’t actually know until I when I try to activate the new phone which is also annoying.) Hopeful that I wouldn’t have to ruin the birthday gift, I agreed to this process and had him shut down his phone down (saying the line needed to be remotely troubleshooted) for the night as it was already late and he would be in bed on a school night, which far exceeded the 1-2 hours I was told in which it would resolve the issue. However, I had him turn his phone back on at 6:30 am and it is STILL NOT WORKING, so now I have no clue what to do as customer service isn’t open until 8am, this store in Lewis Center with the lazy employee who caused the issue isn’t even open until 10 and I’m going to have to keep his phone today instead of him taking it to school and have it for after school extracurriculars and pick-up correspondence as usual, and now have to drive all the way back to this damn store and figure it out in person. Long story short: if you buy a phone here and it is a gift- clearly and concisely tell them NOT TO ACTIVATE IT.”

  • “If I could give them a lower score I would… rude, disrespectful, condescending, and useless… literally didn’t help at all other than give me the number to 611… really?!?! What do you think I was doing before coming in? Who do you think told me to drive out if my way to go to a corporate store instead of talking on the phone for 3+ hours? Horrible customer service!”

  • “Don’t bother trying to call, they keep the phone off the hook (see pictures). Very rude staff that blame problems on everyone but themselves, wasted my time and money.”

  • “Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. We went to the Polaris Mall AT&T first and they did not have the phone we wanted in stock so she called the Lewis Center location. Brittany answered and said that they had the phone in stock and would hold it. We get there about 30 mins later and it was the wrong phone and instead of taking responsibility and apologizing for the wrong information, she shouts across the room in a VERY sarcastic manner
